Applications are open for the Ecumenical Institute at Bossey’s 2024 interfaith summer course, during which students earn a Certificate of Advanced Studies in Interreligious Studies.

The Thursdays in Black campaign now has a Youth Edition, developed by young people who are building a network in support of a world free from rape and violence. 

The World Council of Churches (WCC) will host on event on 10-12 in Geneva that will bring together young Black European Christians who will begin to share their ideas and visions for mission and ecumenism.

World Council of Churches (WCC) programme director for Unity, Mission, and Ecumenical Formation Rev. Dr Kuzipa Nalwamba offered a recorded greeting for the “Together: Gathering of the People of God” event in Rome taking place 29 September-1 October.

Prof. Dr. Jerry Pillay, secretario general del CMI, en su discurso de bienvenida a los jóvenes de todas partes del mundo que el 16 de junio fueron acogidos en el Centro Ecuménico como stewards en preparación de la próxima reunión del Comité Central que tiene lugar del 21 al 27 de junio en Ginebra.  

 “There’s one thing I always say to young people when you start off in the stewards programme– be very careful, because the ecumenical bug gets you as this is a mind blowing exposure and you start to think about the church in a very different way – and this is not a bad thing", remarked World Council of Churches (WCC) general secretary Rev. Prof. Dr Jerry Pillay in his welcoming address to the young people from all over the world who were welcomed at the Ecumenical Centre on 16 June as stewards, in preparation for the upcoming central committee which is taking place 21-27 June in Geneva.

El Consejo Mundial de Iglesias (CMI) aportó perspectivas y participó en el diálogo en la preasamblea de jóvenes del Consejo Nacional de Iglesias de la India (NCCI), celebrada del 17 al 19 de abril en Hyderabad.

La preasamblea de jóvenes, organizada por el Centro para la Paz de la India, se celebró bajo el tema “Ha llegado la hora: la hora de que la juventud construya un mundo de paz y sostenibilidad”.

The World Council of Churches (WCC) offered insights and participated in dialogue at the Youth Pre-assembly for National Council of Churches in India (NCCI), held 17-19 April in Hyderabad.

Organized by the India Peace Centre, the Youth Pre-assembly was held under the theme “The Hour has Come: The hour of Youth Building a World of Peace and Sustainability.”

 

Brother Alois, prior of the Taizé Community, along with a group of 60 young people from the community, visited the Ecumenical Centre in Geneva on 6 March for a time of prayer and sharing.

Rev. Dr Fidon Mwombeki, general secretary of the All Africa Conference of Churches, urged youth to work for the prosperity of Africa, as he reminded them that the continent was their future home.

Applications are open for a Young Adults Training for Religious Amity program (YATRA) to be held in October.
