El Consejo Mundial de Iglesias (CMI) condena el ataque a uno de los edificios del recinto de la iglesia ortodoxa griega de San Porfirio en Gaza, una de las más antiguas de la ciudad. Según el Patriarcado Ortodoxo Griego, el edificio, afiliado a la iglesia, se derrumbó tras la explosión causada por ataques aéreos israelíes.

On 27 October Korean Theology Forum on Climate Crisis organized a conference “The Response of the WCC to the Climate Crisis and its Policy for Carbon Neutrality” for the formation of church leaders, pastors and students interested in ways to connect local activities to the global horizon. El Consejo Mundial de Iglesias (CMI) ha expresado su indignación y sorpresa ante la noticia del bombardeo del hospital gazatí de Al-Ahli. “Miles de palestinos que ya habían perdido sus hogares habían buscado refugio en el hospital, gestionado por la Iglesia Anglicana”, declaró el secretario general del CMI, el Rev. Prof. Dr. Jerry Pillay; “el ataque equivale a un castigo colectivo, que constituye un crimen de guerra según el Derecho Internacional”.

The World Council of Churches (WCC) expressed grave concern upon reports from the Palestinian Red Crescent of a concrete request from Israeli authorities for immediate evacuation of Al Quds Hospital in Gaza. 

The World Council of Churches (WCC) is condemning an attack on one of the buildings within the compound of the St Porphyrios Greek Orthodox Church in Gaza. The building—affiliated with the church, which is one the oldest churches in Gaza—has collapsed in the explosion, caused by Israeli missile strikes, according to the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate.

The World Council of Churches (WCC), in consultation with heads of churches and representatives of Palestinian Christian organizations within the Jerusalem Liaison Office Advisory Group, is making an urgent call for an international investigation led by the United Nations into the numerous war crimes committed against civilians during the ongoing conflict.
