Padre Ioan Sauca: “Dios está del lado de los que sufren”

El Consejo Mundial de Iglesias (CMI), desde el primer día de la guerra en Ucrania e incluso en los meses anteriores, ha estado trabajando y orando fervientemente por la paz en este conflicto y en todo el mundo. Desde el principio, el CMI ha pedido el cese inmediato de las hostilidades armadas, que se detenga la guerra y ha hecho un llamado para que se ponga fin de inmediato a los ataques indiscriminados que afectan cada vez más a la población civil de Ucrania. El servicio de noticias del CMI se reunió en línea con el secretario general en funciones del CMI, el Rev. Prof. Dr. Ioan Sauca, para conocer las últimas novedades sobre la labor del CMI.

Pater Ioan Sauca: „Gott ist an der Seite der Leidenden“

Der Ökumenische Rat der Kirchen (ÖRK) hat seit dem ersten Tag des Krieges in der Ukraine und auch schon in den Monaten davor ernsthaft für den Frieden in diesem Konflikt und überall auf der Welt gearbeitet und gebetet. Von Anfang an hat der ÖRK ein sofortiges Ende der bewaffneten Auseinandersetzungen zur Beendigung des Krieges und ebenfalls einen sofortigen Stopp wahlloser und eskalierender Angriffe auf die Zivilbevölkerung in der Ukraine gefordert. ÖRK News hat sich online mit dem geschäftsführenden ÖRK-Generalsekretär Priester Prof. Dr. Ioan Sauca getroffen, um sich über den aktuellen Stand der Arbeit des ÖRK zu informieren.

Desde que comenzó la ofensiva militar rusa en Ucrania, el 24 de febrero, se calcula que más de 18 millones de personas (el 41% de la población ucraniana) se han visto afectadas por el conflicto. Casi uno de cada cuatro ucranianos ha tenido que abandonar su hogar. Cerca de 6,5 millones de personas se han desplazado dentro del país, y más de 3,5 millones han huido más allá de sus fronteras.

Es wird geschätzt, dass, seit Russlands Militäroffensive in der Ukraine am 24. Februar begann, mehr als  than 18 Millionen Menschen (41% der Bevölkerung der Ukraine) von dem Konflikt betroffen sind. Fast ein Viertel der Bevölkerung wurde aus ihren Häusern vertrieben, mit fast 6,5 Millionen Binnenflüchtlingen und mehr als 3,5 Millionen Menschen, die das land verlassen haben.

For each assembly, the central committee submits an accountability report, describing and offering an assessment of the activities of the WCC between the assemblies; in this case, since the 10th Assembly, in Busan, Republic of Korea, in late 2013.

The report “Pilgrims on the Path of Peace – The Journey of the WCC from Busan to Karlsruhe,” is now available online for WCC member churches, ecumenical partners, and other global pilgrims. The WCC central committee received the report in February.
