Vorsitzender der ÖRK-Klimakommission: „Lasst uns diejenigen sein, die zeigen, dass es einen Willen gibt“

Der Vorsitzende der Kommission für Klimagerechtigkeit und nachhaltige Entwicklung des Ökumenischen Rates der Kirchen (ÖRK), Erzbischof Pastor Julio Murray Thompson, sprach in einem Videointerview des ÖRK über die Herausforderungen, mit denen die Kommission konfrontiert ist, sowie darüber, wie sie Partnerschaften aufbauen und junge Menschen einbeziehen wird.

Jackline Makena Mutuma es miembro del clero de la Iglesia Metodista de Kenia y estudiante del Instituto Ecuménico del Consejo Mundial de Iglesias (CMI) en Bossey, donde investiga actualmente sobre la interacción entre la esclavitud moderna y el calentamiento del planeta. También fue elegida recientemente como una de las vicemoderadoras de la Comisión de Fe y Constitución del CMI. En una entrevista concedida al CMI, reflexiona sobre la urgencia de prevenir la esclavitud moderna.

Was können Kirchen unternehmen, um moderne Sklaverei zu verhindern?

Jackline Makena Mutuma ist Pastorin der Methodistischen Kirche in Kenia und studiert am Ökumenischen Institut des Ökumenischen Rates der Kirchen (ÖRK) in Bossey. Ihre derzeitigen wissenschaftlichen Arbeiten befassen sich mit dem Zusammenhang zwischen moderner Sklaverei und Klimawandel. Vor kurzem wurde sie zu einer der stellvertretenden Vorsitzenden der ÖRK-Kommission für Glauben und Kirchenverfassung gewählt. In einem Interview mit dem ÖRK spricht sie darüber, dass Maßnahmen zur Verhinderung moderner Sklaverei dringend erforderlich seien.

Prof. Dr. Fabien Revol, Vorsitzender der Ökumenischen französischsprachigen Gesellschaft für die Theologie der Ökologie und Professor für Theologie an der Katholischen Universität Lyon, äußert sich nachstehend über die Präsentation des Buchs „Penser les relations écologiques en théologie à l'ère de l'Anthropocène" („Überlegungen zu ökologischen Beziehungen in der Theologie im Zeitalter des Anthropozäns“). Dieses Werk ist das Ergebnis eines 2021 durchgeführten Seminars des ÖRK und der Ökumenischen französischsprachigen Gesellschaft für die Theologie der Ökologie.

El Prof. Dr Fabien Revol, presidente de la Sociedad Ecuménica y Francófona de Teología de la Ecología y profesor de teología de la Universidad Católica de Lyon, reflexiona a continuación sobre el lanzamiento del libro Penser les relations écologiques en théologie à l'ère de l'Anthropocène (Pensar las relaciones ecológicas en teología en la era antropocena), fruto del seminario Teología de la ecología, organizado en 2021 por el Consejo Mundial de Iglesias (CMI) en asociación con dicha sociedad.

Matthew Ross, que ha dirigido el programa de diaconía y desarrollo de capacidades del CMI entre 2018 y 2023, reflexiona sobre cómo la actual recepción del documento “Llamados a la transformación: diaconía ecuménica” —en cuya redacción colaboró— confirma la importancia del servicio y la misión diaconales.

Pastor Matthew Ross, der von 2018 bis 2023 ÖRK-Programmreferent für Diakonie und Kapazitätsaufbau war, berichtet im folgenden Interview, dass das Dokument „Zur Verwandlung aufgerufen. Ökumenische Diakonie“, das er mitherausgegeben hat, auf vielfältige Art und Weise rezipiert wird, die aber alle die Bedeutung von diakonischem Engagement und Mission bekräftigen.

Llamados a la -Transformación Diaconía ecuménica

A joint publication of the World Council of Churches (WCC) and ACT Alliance, this study document aims to clarify the understanding of ecumenical diakonia and to provide a common platform for acting and reflecting together for the churches and ecumenical partners worldwide. 

The major publication outlines the theological components of diakonia and offers practical content for those engaged in the service of diakonia. The study document is intended to be used for formation and training in ecumenical diakonia, to strengthen the institutional capacity of those involved in diakonia, and to foster dialogue and cooperation between churches, ecumenical partners, ACT Alliance and the WCC.

Von Uexkull, de Right Livelihood, quiere que el evento organizado por el CMI para reverdecer la tierra se transforme en un movimiento mundial

Right Livelihood es una fundación conocida por sus premios, a veces considerados como los Premios Nobel alternativos, pero destaca por otras razones desde que se unió al Consejo Mundial de Iglesias (CMI) en los esfuerzos para crear un movimiento mundial para reverdecer la tierra. Ole von Uexkull, director ejecutivo de de Right Livelihood, con sede en Ginebra, intervino en la reunión que tuvo lugar el 12 de mayo bajo el título “Cuidar de la Tierra, transformar vidas: vínculos entre la fe y la regeneración natural”

Durante su visita de solidaridad a Turquía, el CMI y ACT Alianza han sido testigo de las acuciantes necesidades y, al mismo tiempo, de una gran colaboración: “todas las iglesias están trabajando juntas”

A su regreso de una visita de solidaridad a Turquía, el secretario general del Consejo Mundial de Iglesias (CMI), Rev. Prof. Dr. Jerry Pillay, y el secretario general de ACT Alianza, Rudelmar Bueno de Faria, concedieron una entrevista en vídeo para hablar de lo que vieron y de cómo las iglesias están trabajando juntas, y compartieron sus reflexiones particulares sobre la visita realizada del 4 al 6 de abril, que tuvo lugar durante la Semana Santa occidental.

This booklet highlights the lessons learnt in a project, Strategic Engagement of Civil Society Networks and Faith Actors in the HIV Response in Four Countries,  implemented by the World Council of Churches (WCC), with the support of the Joint United Nations Program on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS), from July to December 2022 

This initiative facilitated dialogue between civil society networks, faith actors, and key national HIV stakeholders in the Dominican Republic, India, Indonesia, and Jamaica.
