The COVID-19 pandemic has not just revealed the injustices, economic inequality, and violence, but it has also changed the ways of our ministry and mission. The series of these regional online consultations respond to this emerging priority of COVID-19 and to have reflection on the Pilgrimage of Justice and Peace (PJP) in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. The regional consultations provide opportunities for participants to explore further issues of COVID-19 in relation to the PJP by reflecting theologically, engaging from experts of the issue (regional/national and grassroots organizations), engaging with local community organizations/activists, and creating action plans.

This consultation will allow participants to share their experiences of how churches in Africa are living out our commitment to the Pilgrimage of Justice and Peace in the context of COVID-19, with particular reference to economic and livelihood issues, peace and security, health, gender-based violence, and humanitarian aid.
