The Ecumenical Institute

The Ecumenical Institute at Bossey near Geneva, Switzerland, provides a space for reflection and study to students from around the world. Each student leaves prepared to return to his or her home communities and churches renewed and transformed through learning, encounter and personal exchanges at Bossey. By cooperating and working closely with churches, the institute is a foundational piece in the strengthening of the WCC fellowship and the ecumenical movement.

خاضت الثقة والاحترام بين الأديان معتركا صعبا داخل المجتمعات في جميع أنحاء العالم وعلى وجه الخصوص في بعض الأحداث التي كانت فيها الحاجة الماسة لبناء السلام الناجح مطلوبة. ولذلك شهد يوم 11 أغسطس / آب حدثا بالغ الأهمية في تاريخ المعهد المسكوني في بوسي بسويسرا لأنه شهد حفلة تخريج الطلاب الأوائل الذين تلقوا دبلومات الدراسات العليا في فرع الدراسات بين الأديان. وشهد الحفل نفسه نيل أستاذ معهد بوسيه القس الأب الدكتور لورانس يوامادي الجائزة السنوية "جائزة المعرفة المشتركة " التي منحتها له المؤسسة الإسلامية (المعرفة المشتركة) وهى مؤسسة لا تستهدف الربح. وبغض النظر عن الجائزة التي منحت للورنس نرى التزام لورنس الإيجابي والصادق في الحوار بين الأديان وبين البشر.
