Prayer for Unity

Almighty God,

Creator and Redeemer,

you gather us

in a new bond of unity and peace.

Bless us

with your Spirit

and make us a gift

to the world.

That because you grant us

to bridge our difference,

humans may believe

in their longing for brother- and sisterhood

you have written in their hearts.

That our witness may be

a sign of your own longing for a future of unity and peace.

Through Jesus Christ,

The gracious gift of your love.
