Tarek Mitri, staff of the World Council of Churches (WCC) programme on inter-religious relations, and WCC Publications will present Mitri's new book, "Au nom de la Bible, au nom de l’Amérique" ("In the name of the Bible, in the name of America"), published by Labor et Fides to the public on Wednesday 13 October 2004 at the Ecumenical Centre in Geneva.
The book addresses the topics of politics, how American society has reacted to Islam and Muslims since the dramatic events of 11 September, and why the war against Iraq has divided Christians.
The presentation will be made in French, but questions may be asked in English.
