The Assembly of the Council for World Mission has appointed Rev. Dr Moiseraele Prince Dibeela as moderator to lead CWM's Trustee Body for the next three years.

"I am confident that you will provide CWM with the vibrant, dynamic and visionary leadership that will help it to become a vanguard of the global ecumenical missionary movement, a role that it has thus far faithfully fulfilled alongside many like-minded partners around the world," the general secretary of the World Council of Churches (WCC), Rev. Dr Samuel Kobia, wrote in a congratulation letter to Dibeela on 2 July.

Dibeela is the general secretary of the United Congregational Church of Southern Africa. He also serves on the WCC Central Committee and the Joint Consultative Group between the WCC and Pentecostals.

The CWM is a worldwide community of 31 churches that exists to help resource-sharing for mission. It was established in 1977 with a democratic structure in which everyone could contribute and receive from each other as equals.
