Sights and sounds from the 9th Assembly now online

• "May our prayers never be empty words," prays Wendy Evans, a young woman delegate from Canada.
• The archbishop of Canterbury, Rowan Williams, reflects on Christian identity and religious plurality.
• Aram I, then moderator of the WCC, shares his vision of ecumenism in the 21^st century.
• General secretary Samuel Kobia pays tribute to the passion and vitality of young people.
• Brazilian pastor Nancy Cardoso, holds high a jar of seeds, "our daily bread", as she describes the effects of economic globalization.
• And Desmond Tutu assures his audience that "We can make it only together!"

Getting "into the mood", WCC central committee delegates watched the video just ahead of a 31 August working session devoted to evaluating the Assembly.
