The first volume of the newly revised Traduction oecuménique de la Bible (TOB) will be launched at the World Council of Churches coinciding with the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity. The launch will take place on

at the Ecumenical Centre - 150 Route de Ferney, Geneva

This volume, an annotated French translation of the Pentateuch published by the French Editions du Cerf, includes a new introduction and commentaries which take into account the most recent developments in biblical studies.

The launch will be accompanied by three round table discussions:

  • The history of the TOB project

The new WCC general secretary Rev. Dr Samuel Kobia will make opening remarks and participate in discussions throughout the day. Presentations and discussions are planned in French with interpretation into English.
