Archbishop Christodoulos of Athens and all Greece, primate of the 10-million-strong (Orthodox) Church of Greece, will speak at a

PRESS CONFERENCE

Ending an intensive three-day visit to Geneva that included high-level meetings with church bodies as well as with the canton's political authorities and a number of United Nations agencies, Archbishop Christodoulos will address contemporary issues such as globalization, migration and European unity, bioethics and interreligious dialogue, as well as ecumenism.

During his stay in Geneva, Christodoulos met with the UN high commissioner for refugees, the mayor of Geneva and members of the Geneva Council of State, and Geneva University's rector. He also visited the International Organization for Migration, and the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs.

Christodoulos met as well with the general secretaries of the WCC, Lutheran World Federation, World Alliance of Reformed Churches and Conference of European Churches.

On Thursday, he is to travel to Bern and meet Federal Councillor Pascal Couchepin, and Ambassador Jean-Jacques de Dardel, in charge of European political affairs at the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs.

The archbishop will speak in French and English translation will be provided.
