The plenary Bible studies are an important aspect of the work of the assembly. They give participants an opportunity to meet daily around a Bible passage to reflect on the theme and the experience of the assembly. Participants can discern together God’s purposes for themselves and the ecumenical movement. They meet in groups which are small enough to allow everyone to contribute and large enough to give a range of perspectives. The Bible study sessions provide an opportunity for participants to explore the assembly theme together in the light of the biblical texts, knowledge, and experience. To be involved in group Bible study is to be open to one another, to the Bible passage and to the Holy Spirit. It is not to win an argument or to persuade others to a particular point of view. These sessions should be a place where the participants can integrate all they have heard and done in the assembly and discover together the possibilities of transformation that God offers us.

This publication contains some of the components of the final spiritual-life resource that will be used at the assembly. It invites assembly participants and the wider fellowship to celebrate the love of God that we find in Christ through prayer, song, and reflecting on Jesus’ preaching and healing as portrayed in the Gospels.

The report “Pilgrims on the Path of Peace – The Journey of the WCC from Busan to Karlsruhe,” is now available online for WCC member churches, ecumenical partners, and other global pilgrims. The WCC central committee received the report in February.

«De las palabras a la acción» se basa en la publicación de 2019 del Consejo Mundial de Iglesias (CMI) titulada «Hoja de ruta para las congregaciones, las comunidades y las iglesias para una economía de vida y una justicia ecológica», una invitación a debatir un programa de cinco pasos para cambiar nuestra manera de ocuparnos de la economía y nuestro entorno ecológico.

«Invitamos a las congregaciones, las comunidades y las iglesias a unirse a la peregrinación por una economía de vida y por la justicia climática, a comprometerse a introducir cambios en nuestra manera de vivir, a compartir ideas eficaces y alentarnos mutuamente».

En 2013, el CMI adoptó una declaración conjunta, “Poner a los niños en el centro”, y se asoció con UNICEF para desarrollar la capacidad de sus iglesias miembros y asociados ecuménicos para (1) proteger a la niñez y la adolescencia y (2) promover la participación significativa de la niñez y (3) su compromiso en las iniciativas de justicia climática.

UNICEF se asoció al CMI para fortalecer su compromiso efectivo con los actores religiosos para mejorar el bienestar de la niñez. Los actores religiosos pueden llegar a los/las niños/as más vulnerables y, a menudo, cuentan con la confianza, la influencia moral y la capacidad para hacerlo. Gracias a esta asociación, se puede llegar a un mayor número de asociados comunitarios conectados localmente.

Esta publicación destaca las actividades y los logros clave de 2015 a 2021.

Im Jahr 2013 verabschiedete der ÖRK die gemeinsame Erklärung “Kinder in den Mittelpunkt stellen” und formte eine Partnerschaf mit UNICEF, um seine Mitgliedskirchen und ökumenischen Partner in die Lage zu versetzen, um (1) Kinder und Jugendliche zu schützen, (2) die bedeutungsvolle Beteiligung von Kindern zu fördern und (3) sich für Klimagerechtigkeit zu engagieren.

UNICEF ging diese Partnerschaft ein, um seine effektive Arbeit mit Vertretern von Religionen weiter zu verstärken und so das Kindeswohl zu fördern. Religionsvertreter können die am meisten gefährdeten Kinder erreichen, da sie oft Vertrauen genießen und moralischen Einfluss haben, was ihnen Zugang zu diesen Kindern ermöglicht. Durch diese Partnerschaft kann eine Vielzahl gut vernetzter lokaler Partner erreicht werden.

In dieser Veröffentlichung werden die wichtigsten Aktivitäten und Errungenschaften von 2015 bis 2021 hervorgehoben.

Gegenwärtige Spannungen innerhalb und zwischen Kirchen sind oft das Ergebnis von Uneinigkeit in moralisch-ethischen Fragen. Angesichts der Dringlichkeit der Angelegenheit hat es sich die Kommission für Glauben und Kirchenverfassung des Ökumenischen Rates der Kirchen zur Aufgabe gemacht, die Kirchen bei der Suche nach einem Weg, das gegenseitige Verstehen zu vertiefen, zu unterstützen. Aufbauend aus den Lernerfahrungen aus den moralisch-ethischen Urteilsbildungsprozessen verschiedener kirchlicher Traditionen und einer Reihe von historischen Beispielen schlägt dieses Studiendokument ein Analyseinstrument vor, um das Wissen über die Prozesse zu vertiefen, zu erkennen, wie und warum Unterschiede auftreten können, gemeinsame Überzeugungen zu bekräftigen und auf diese Weise Koinonia zu stärken. Anstatt sich nur auf die Ergebnisse eines Urteilsbildungsprozesses zu konzentrieren, kann das Verständnis des Prozesses zu einem neuen Weg für den Dialog führen. Das Studiendokument schlägt die Vorstellung des Gewissens der Kirche vor. Wo anerkannt wird, dass Kirchen danach streben, Gottes Willen zu erkennen und zu tun, um dem Evangelium treu zu bleiben, kann ein Dialog mit der Annahme beginnen, dass der Partner aufrichtig ist, ohne dabei notwendigerweise das Ergebnis seines Urteilsbildungsprozesses zu akzeptieren.

Este documento, fruto de la labor de un grupo internacional formado por representantes de diversas regiones y tradiciones confesionales, ha sido concebido como un recurso para las iglesias y los cristianos de todo el mundo con vistas a la 11ª Asamblea del CMI, que tendrá lugar en Karlsruhe (Alemania), del 31 de agosto al 8 de septiembre de 2022. La publicación ofrece reflexiones bíblicas y teológicas sobre el tema de la Asamblea, inspirado en el versículo “Porque el amor de Cristo nos impulsa” (2 Cor 5:14), en un contexto de cuestiones cruciales a las que se enfrentan las iglesias y la humanidad en su conjunto. El documento, inicialmente, está disponible en cuatro idiomas: español, alemán, francés e inglés.
