Rebecca Froese is a member of Hamburg and Altona Mennonite Church in Germany. She is a graduate student in Integrated Climate System Sciences at the University of Hamburg and works as a research assistant in the university's Climate Change and Security Research Group.

Committed to advocate for steps to counter climate change, she attended the UN Climate Change Conferences in Paris (2015) and Marrakech (2016) as an NGO oberserver.

In 2013, Rebecca served as a steward at the 10th Assembly of the World Council of Churches. You can read her blog posts (in English and German) about travelling to Busan with the "Peace Train" at fromberlintobusan.wordpress.com.

Together with Iris Speckmann, Fernando Enns and Lydia Funck, she led a workshop on the Pilgrimage of Justice and Peace at the Mennonite World Conference 2015.
