Deivit Montealegre is a lay member of the Evangelical Methodist Church of Argentina (IEMA). He works with Globethics.net as programme executive for South America and is an associated researcher and PhD candidate at the Latin American Faculty of Social Science, (FLACSO) Buenos Aires, Argentina, specializing in theology and Biblical studies.

In 2016, he participated in the first Ecumenical School on Governance, Economics and Management (GEM) for an Economy of Life organized by the WCC and the World Communion of Reformed Churches, in collaboration with the Institute for Diakonia and Management, and hosted by the Hong Kong Christian Council.
