Aleshia Johnson is a member of the WCC's ECHOS Commission on Youth and of the international reference group for the Pilgrimage of Justice and Peace. She works at a management firm in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Aleshia is of Caribbean (Bahamas) and Aboriginal descent.

Her aboriginal heritage belongs to the Six Nations of the Grand River in Ohsweken, Ontario. She represents the Mohawk tribe and Turtle Clan respectively. Aleshia holds an honours Bachelor of Arts degree of Philosophy from Tyndale University College and Seminary.

Her interests include photography, reading, French language and culture, as well as fitness. She has a fervent passion for social justice, especially that which pertains to Indigenous and women's rights.
