Celebrating the fellowship - the WCC's 60th anniversary

In 2008, the members of the World Council of Churches celebrate the sixtieth anniversary of their pledge: "We intend to stay together." Since its foundation in 1948, the WCC has been the churches' primary instrument to promote the search for Christian unity and to foster common witness and service. Today it has a worldwide fellowship of 349 member churches.
