The WCC scholarships programme is a global ecumenical formation programme that helps churches and related organizations to equip people to fulfil their mission. Holding together ecumenical formation and capacity-building, it is a means of supporting and developing the ecumenical movement.
As a global programme, it offers ecumenical exposure and formation through its placement of students in countries other than their own. Theological and non-theological scholarships, including group training scholarships, are intended to provide an opportunity for ecumenical learning through exposure to other cultures and faith traditions, in addition to appropriate study which combines academic study and practical experience.
