Faith-based and civil society organizations will come together to engage with the theme of the third session of the Permanent Forum on People of African Descent and its implications for the work of religious organizations working with and for People of African Descent. Τheιr expectations and aspirations to the United Nations, through the upcoming Permanent Forum for People of African Descent occurring on 16-19 April, will be thoroughly discussed.

The recommendations will center on what states and other actors could do to redress the historic exploitation and harms that Africans and people of African descent have suffered.

The pre-session consultation acknowledges that racial justice is not simply a matter for Christians but for all faith communities to grapple with.

The hybrid consultation will also include faith interventions from world religions.
