Round table on "Impunity in Latin America"

The round table discussion will focus on
* the human rights situation in Guatemala;
* the creation of the Commission for the Investigation of Illegal bodies and
Clandestine Security Apparatus (CICIACS); and
* forced disappearances, impunity and international legal instruments.

Ms Helen MACK, president of the Myrna Mack foundation and member of
Guatemala's National Commission for the Reinforcement of Justice
Mr Mario POLANCO, director of GAM (Mutual Support Group), member of
the executive committee of "Foro Guatemala" (Guatemala Forum), and of
various expressions of the national human rights movement
Ms Marta VASQEZ, president of FEDEFAM (Federation of the Families of
the Disappeared in Latin America)
