The World Council of Churches’ (WCC) mid-term evaluation team held its second meeting from 23 to 25 October at the Ecumenical Centre in Geneva.

The team met to review and analyze data from three surveys conducted in four languages, documenting trends and learnings for both the mid-term evaluation and the renewal of the WCC strategic plan. The team also advanced work on a review of sample projects, seeking to understand how the strategic plan helps to connect “who we are” as a fellowship with “what we do” programmatically, particularly through the Pilgrimage of Justice and Peace, which has been the foundation WCC’s vision and work since its 10th assembly in 2013 in Busan, Republic of Korea.

The third and final meeting of the evaluation team will result in a report to the WCC central committee and advise the WCC leadership on the renewal of the strategic plan.
