Access to safe drinking water and sanitation is primarily an issue of justice. While the rich and powerful take it for granted, a large section of the global population have to struggle to fulfil this basic need.

There are many actors on advocacy for water justice. The unique contribution of the Ecumenical Water Network is to make a Christian witness heard in this debate.

The outcomes of the consultation will be published by WCC Publications in early 2015.
