Memorial service for Philip Potter

A service will be held at the chapel of the Ecumenical Centre to honour the memory of the third general secretary of the WCC, the Rev. Dr Philip Potter, who died on 31 March.

The Rev. Dr Philip Potter, the third general secretary of the WCC, who served in that office from 1972 to 1984, died on 31 March at the age of 93. Potter is known around the world for his leadership and contributions to the ecumenical movement, unity of the churches, and the cause of justice and peace.

A memorial service will be held at the chapel of the Ecumenical Centre in Geneva, where the WCC has its offices, on 18 May at 5 pm.
