Who we are

The Ecumenical Water Network is an international network of churches and Christian organizations. The Secretariat of the Ecumenical Water Network is located at the World Council of Churches in Geneva.

Individuals are welcome to join the Ecumenical Water Network as an EWN Supporter. Click here for more information.

The Forum of participants determines fields of concern and priorities for action for the network. Click here for the report of the last EWN Forum (Participants' Meeting 2008).

The EWN International Reference Group:

The International Reference Group is responsible for the preparation and follow-up of the concerns and priorities for action determined by the Forum.

Its current members are:

The EWN Secretariat:

Ms Maike Gorsboth facilitates and coordinates the work of the Ecumenical Water Network at the EWN Secretariat. The Secretariat is hosted by the World Council of Churches at its Geneva headquarters and forms part of the World Council of Churches’ work on Ecological and Social Justice.
