Master of Advanced Ecumenical Studies (MAS)

 

Degree programme of one academic year for students who already possess a Master’s degree (preferably in Theology) and wish to pursue their ecumenical studies.

The programme includes during the first semester

- a course on the history of the ecumenical movement;

- a workshop on intercultural Bible Study :

- a workshop on Practical Theology;

- field trips (to places of ecumenical interest such as Rome, Chambésy, Taizé…);

- an interdisciplinary course;

- a seminar on research methodology.

 The programme includes during the second semester

- a 10 weeks supervised work placement in an ecumenical organization/or a research fellowship in a partner institute (f. ex Irish School of Ecumenics, Tantur, etc.)

- writing a Master thesis.
