Central committee meeting
The central committee is the WCC's highest governing body in the interval between assemblies, and meets every 18 months. It is responsible for executing Assembly resolutions, reviewing WCC programmes, monitoring their implementation, and approving WCC budget plans.
Following the decision of the current general secretary Rev. Dr Samuel Kobia not to seek a second term in office, the central committee, in February 2008, appointed a search committee in order to fulfil the position at its next meeting in September 2009.
