Orthodox photo exhibit at Ecumenical Centre
A photo exhibition devoted to the life and faith of Orthodox Christian churches opens Monday 14 February at the Ecumenical Centre in Grand Saconnex, Geneva. The exhibit is presented by Orthphoto in partnership with the World Council of Churches (WCC).
This unique collection of images is open to the public and media and was first organized in 2009 to celebrate the 5th anniversary of Orthphoto.
The full exhibition includes 300 stunning photographs by 170 photographers from 43 nations on five continents. The exhibition has already been displayed in Russia, Poland, Serbia, Romania and Bulgaria where it has proven to be a great success.
A vernissage will take place at the Ecumenical Centre (150 route de Ferney, 1211 Geneva) on Monday 14 February 2011 at 17:00.
The opening of the exhibit is to begin with a short concert of liturgical chant sung by the Saint Catherine’s choir of the French Orthodox parish of the Holy Trinity (Geneva).
The exhibition is open from 14 - 25 February 2011 (Monday-Saturday from 09:30 to 17:30; closed on Sunday).
