Most important ecumenical experience: Ecumenism has widened my theological horizon and also the understanding of what means being church today.
As Christians we need to change our way of thinking and speak in a prophetic voice. Our task is to call for repentance, which means to change our attitudes and our lives. We are called to proclaim Jesus Christ and to make peace through Jesus Christ, who is our peace. I think that living according to the gospel is the solution to all our problems in the world. Therefore, I think things will get better when there is hope. We are a people of hope. The best lies before us. In order to change our mindsets, we have to believe in hope and love.
We need to care for and protect the creation of God – to protect animal species and vegetation, and to work for a healthy climate and a greener environment. Concentrated pollution in the big cities threatens the purity of the atmosphere.
The biggest challenge for the churches in coming years is to work for unity. In these times, we have to accompany one another, but we are lacking companionship and unity. Unity is the prayer of Jesus.
