Die alltägliche Arbeit unserer Mitglieder zeigt, dass "kleine" und lokal verankerte Projekte viel mehr sind als nur ein "Tropfen auf dem heißen Stein". Es sind gerade Projekte, die einfache und kostengünstige technische Lösungen anwenden und die lokalen Gemeinschaften aktiv einbeziehen, die sich als besonders tragfähig erwiesen haben, sowohl in wirtschaftlicher, sozialer als auch in ökologischer Hinsicht.
Ausgehend von den Erfahrungen unserer Mitglieder und ihrer Partner vor Ort fördert das Ökumenische Wassernetzwerk den Austausch über solche alternativen Lösungen und ihre optimale Umsetzung.
Die folgenden drei Erfolgsgeschichten zeigen, wie sich Menschen in der Gemeinschaft erfolgreich für ihren Zugang zu Wasser und den Erhalt dieser unverzichtbaren Ressource einsetzen können:

Promoting accountable governance of community water services, making participation count, strengthening community and civil society campaigning for the right to water... On these and other related themes the Ecumenical Water Network and ACT Alliance have made a joint submission of good water and sanitation practices to the United Nation’s Independent Expert on human rights obligations and water and sanitation in Geneva. The practices below have been sent in by members and local partners of the EWN and the ACT Alliance who aim at advancing the realization of human rights as they relate to safe drinking water and sanitation.
